Wedding Gown Wednesday: "Giselle"

"Giselle" has just recently arrived at our store in the last few weeks. "Giselle" is a fashion forward gown by Marisa. The neckline is sweetheart in shape with three dimensional flowers that rest slightly above the neckline almost making the sweetheart look scalloped.

The bodice has three dimensional flowers and unique intricate beading through out the top and appliques onto the satin sash. If you are a bride that likes a bodice that has a lot of beading and interest this may be the perfect dress for you.

The skirt is asymmetrically draped to show off the beautiful silk organza fabric. One neat thing about this skirt is that it fastens on the side with hook and eyes to give interest and detail to the draping across the back. This also hides the zipper and makes the dress look like there is not a zipper in this gown.

Alyne Trunk Show

Even though a few weeks ago we featured Alyne as one of Bella's Best, we wanted to showcase a few more of the dresses we don't normal have. Trunk shows are great for consultants as well as for our brides because we get to see other gowns that are different then the ones we have selected for the store. We love the fit of Alyne gowns, they are just astonishing.

There are so many things to love about these gowns from the fit to the fabric. The dresses we have received are all sorts of different designs and fabrics. Several dresses are more fitted some are the shape of a ball gown, and some have a flowy grecian style.

All of the fabrics are very high quality silks and laces, consisting of dupioni, chiffon, organza, satin, and netting to just name a few. After seeing all these gowns there are several that we are wanting to order samples of to have in the store. If you love the look of these gowns we would love for you to set up an appointment for tomorrow. We only have a couple appointments left in the afternoon!

Wedding Gown Wednesday: Hazel

This week is our long awaited Alyne trunk show! We have been waiting months for it to finally get here, we received a few of the dresses early and they are beautiful!!! So, we decided to feature Hazel a gown we do not normally have in our salon for Wedding Gown Wednesday.

Meet Hazel a straight across strapless modified ball gown in silk organza. The bodice is covered in three dimensional Guipure lace. Each little flower is cut out on the bodice, and the lace is then hand placed gradually scattered down the skirt. The waist is accented by a folded silk organza sash. We did not show Hazel with the sash so you can get a closer look at the appliqued lace pattern.

We love the train on this gown because it is a wide and circular and extends to a long chapel length. The skirt is made of silk organza and it has a pretty movement when the bride walks. It is a perfect gown for an out door wedding!

This week for wedding gown Wednesday we are featuring another new Alyne bridal gown. "Kaylee" is such a sweet dress. Our favorite thing about this gown are the sheer beaded straps. Many brides these days are wanting a more unique neckline, and with straps like these it is definitely more unique.

The bodice has subtle ruching in a english netting. The netting is very soft and delicate. A sash of grosgrain ribbon and organza and netting flower accents the natural waist. The full a-line skirt is made of a soft silk organza giving the dress a lot of movement. If you think "Kaylee" could be your dream dress we would love for you to set up an appointment! Wedding Gown Wednesday: "Ingrid"

This week for Wedding Gown Wednesday we decided to feature a gown that has been one of our favorites for a while. "Ingrid" by Marisa is a soft, beautiful whimsical dress. We love silk organza gowns by Marisa.

"Ingrid" has Marisa's signature scooped/dipped neckline. The whole dress has asymmetrical tiers and layers that softly cascade down the dress through out the whole gown. This gown has a very unique airy feel which is perfect for an outdoor wedding. We think it is perfect for the bride who wants something different but isn't completely over the top.

Another thing that is great about this dress is you can really change the look with different types sashes, we included a couple photos to show some different looks. If you think "Ingrid" could be your dream dress we would love for you to set up an appointment to come in and see her.

This week we are featuring "Valerie" a Bliss gown by Monique L'huillier because we are having a Bliss Trunk Show this weekend starting on Friday! We are very excited to see all the beautiful gowns that will be in our store for the weekend!

"Valerie" is a beautiful and unique gown made of silk organza. The modest sweetheart neckline and bodice are softly ruched. With a natural waistline this gown emphasizes the smallest part of a brides waist. The skirt is a swirly rose pattern that has a whimsical feel. If you are looking for a dress that has a classic feel but modern with a fun flair this could be the perfect dress for you!

If you love Monique L'huillier but don't have the budget for her couture line you might want to consider coming in for the Bliss trunk show this weekend. We still have a few appointments left we would love for you to call and set up an appointment!

Wedding Gown Wednesday: Madamoiselle

This week we received several new gowns from Caroline Castigliano so we decided to feature one for Wedding Gown Wednesday. Meet Madomoiselle a beautiful classic gown.

The illusion sweetheart has an overlay of french chantilly lace and a boatneck neckline. The lace is very delicate, soft and feminine. More and more girls are requesting this neckline and a dress with the 3/4 length sleeve. The natural waist is accented by a satin ribbon under the lace overlay. The full a-line skirt is made out a beautiful silk organza.

The back of the dress is completely stunning. It has a low V with scalloped lace detail. The waist in the back accented with a ribbon bow and the tails have a sweet lace detail at the end. The circular skirt has a beautiful flowing train that gives a simple elegant dress a little bit of drama.

This week for Wedding Gown Wednesday day we are featuring a lovely dress by Alyne. We think she could have been inspired by Kate Middleton's wedding gown. The bodice has a deep v-neck lace overlay with an illusion sweetheart neckline. The overlay has long sleeves with detailed buttons on the edge of the sleeve. A natural waist is emphasized with a silk dupioni and satin ribbon sash accented by a silk organza flower. The classic dupioni silk modified ball gown has a hand pleated skirt.

We love this simple, elegant but timeless gown. If you are looking for a gown that is a little more modest but still beautiful this could be your dream dress. We would love for you to set up an appointment to try on "Paris".

Wedding Gown Wednesday: "Maxine"

The dress we are featuring on Wedding Gown Wednesday has had many inquiring phone calls. This is "Maxine" otherwise known as a destination wedding gown by After Six style 1037. One of the things we love is the heirloom lace pattern, it is very unique.

The straight across strapless dress is perfect for a beach wedding or a casual country wedding. The bodice is simple and shirred with a slightly lower then natural waist line. The skirt is gathered giving it a fullness around the hips. The train has a little sweep, so it is perfect for a casual wedding. We tried to get a close up photo of the lace pattern to show how pretty and different it is.

This Wedding Gown Wednesday we are featuring a new dress by Pronovias style Pergola which we have re-named "Romy". This tulle and airy gown is perfect for someone who is looking for a whimsical dress.

The bodice is finely shirred with tiny tulle pleats wrapped asymmetrically. Which gives definition to the waistline. The neckline is a conservative sweetheart, making it a good shape for most bust lines.

The tulle skirt is full and has lace detail through out the skirt and also has a lace detailed hem. There are many layers of tulle that also have lace on the under lays to give more dimension to the skirt. The train is wide with beautiful lace detailing.

This dress also comes with an illusion lace bolero jacket. The jacket is dainty and feminine. It also has a little bit of beading that gives just a little bit of sparkle. The only time you really see the sparkle is when the light hits it just right and it gives off a slight glisten.

Bella's Best: I Do Cosmetics

We are very excited to announce we will be carrying the cosmetic line I Do designed by Joy Pfister of Faces by Joy. She designed this line with her brides in mind and how she could improve their make up for engagement photos, wedding day, wedding photos, and honeymoon. To get a better sense of Joy's make up line this blog post says it all! Also make sure to check out her website and blog!

Check out our little display! All of the girls at the Bella have been testing out some of the samples. In our free time yesterday we tried out the lip glosses and loved them. The colors are soft and feminine just enough color to look special but not un-natural. A big plus is the lip gloss isn't sticky at all! Next time you are at Bella Rosa make sure to check it all out.

This weeks pick for Wedding Gown Wednesday is a new gown from Marisa who we have affectionately renamed "Marissa". The reason we picked this gown is because it has the feeling of a couture gown with out the couture price tag. Instead of being $6000 or higher the price of this gown is around $2100.

A sweetheart neckline with scalloped chantilly lace give the neckline a soft and delicate feel. The bodice of lace is slightly draped into a basque waistline. This past season basque waistlines are starting to make a comeback. Lace comes out of the edges of the waist on to a tulle and horsehair peplum. The peplum gives the skirt a cascading design that gives the skirt more of a interesting design. A tulle and organza skirt gives it a full and airy shape. The light weight chantilly lace and tulle only adds to the delicateness of this dress.

Yesterday we received two new Alyne gowns and we are very excited. We thought we would share one of them with you for Wedding Gown Wednesday. Meet "Evelyn" she is a beauty of embroidered fancy tulle.

The bodice is ruched and draped with a sweetheart neckline. The natural waist is banded with folded grosgrain ribbon and a french bow detail. Box pleats give the skirt fullness of a slight ball gown. Around the bottom of the skirt and chapel length train are hand placed soft swirling silk organza flower like shapes. These flowers give the dress a little more uniqueness.

Virtual Hair Trials

As it is getting closer to spring/summer wedding season, about now is when brides will start to do hair trials. We are always looking for tips to pass on to our brides. We came across this virtual hair make over tool on The Wedding Channel from The Knot website. Maybe you are a bride that has no idea what you want to do with your hair for your wedding day, this would be great for you to try out. The virtual hair make over is perfect for brainstorming. You can upload your photo to this website and try out different hair styles you would never think to try if you were in a salon chair.

We picked a couple hair styles to try out on one of the models. We even changed the hair color to see what the bride would look like with different hair color. If you are wanting some guidance before you go to your hair stylist and try and figure out your wedding hair this might be a fun activity to try!

Recently we have had brides requesting to try on more ball gowns, big ones. This week we decided to feature one of our largest and fullest dresses we have in the store. Meet "Jamilynn" one of our favorite princess like ball gowns from Paloma Blanca.

The sweetheart neckline and the bodice are both ruched. The bust is accented with intricate beadwork that goes around to the back of the dress. This slightly dropped waistline accents waists that are small and gives brides who don't necessarily have a waist a great shape.

"Jamilynn's" skirt is very full with multiple pick ups and draping to give it its fullness. If you are looking for a gown that makes you feel like a princess this could be the perfect dress for you. We would love for you to set up an appointment to try on "Jamilynn".

Well, it is that time of year again. It's prom season and all the high school girls are starting to look for their special dresses. This year the big colors are vibrant such as corals and emerald greens. Patterns are also a huge hit this year. Most girls are searching for a dress that is unique and has at least one different detail. Many girls come in looking for backs that have some interest to them. Most girls wear long dresses but some girls now wear short dresses.

A plus of getting your prom dress at Bella Rosa is we register the dress you pick so no one at the same school can wear your dress! Wedding Gown Wednesday: "Chanel"

This week we are featuring a new gown from Tara Keely that we adore! At first look it is a soft romantic dress and then surprise it is a cute short fitted lace number. The sweetheart neckline has a scalloped lace edge. The whole fitted short mini dress is made of Alencon lace.

The removable skirt is attached at the natural waist with moire ribbon fixed in a tied bow with tails. Layers and layers of soft tulle is what gives the overlay its shape. The hem is accented by horsehair to give the skirt a finished look and sturdy hem. The train is chapel length and wide to give a slight amount of drama.

We think that this gown is so fun! You get the best of both worlds a classic wedding gown and a fun party dress all in one. If you think that "Chanel" could be your dream dress we would love for you to set up an appointment!

2Be Bridal Trunk Show

When we received all the trunk show samples from 2Be Bridal it was like Christmas! As a salon we do not have many dresses that have a lot of beading. This season 2Be has many beautiful dresses that offer a lot of beading in different styles that we haven't been able to see as samples yet. This is one of the reasons we love this trunk show because we were able to see all the beaded dresses that 2Be Bridal has to offer, and they are gorgeous!

A lot of time dresses that are in an affordable price range the beading is not done well. But, that is not the case with the new 2Be gowns. These dresses are very affordable and the detail is done very well. Regardless if the detail is beading, ruching, or lace it is done well and in a unique way. There are many different options as far as different necklines and silhouettes.

Graham from Cakes by Graham provided a cake for this past weekends trunk show. It was delicious! This time the flavors included top layer strawberry chocolate banana chip, second layer was chocolate orange marble, and the bottom layers was lemon with raspberry filling. Needless to say all of the layers were so tasty. Thank you Graham for the yummy and beautiful cake this past weekend.

The trunk show was a success we had a lot of brides who were very excited about all the dresses and had many girls who found their dress at the trunk show.

Today we are featuring another gown from the 2Be Bridal Trunk show. Style # 2312o4 is from the most current season and has been featured in many bridal magazines. Photo's do not do this gown justice.

The dress has a sheer V-neck with illusion sweetheart neckline. This gown is all over lace with several overlays and three dimensional flowers. We love the train of this dress, it has such beautiful detail with the scalloped edges of the lace and the floral detail.

Wedding Gown Wednesday: "Sigourney"

We said on facebook this week that we were excited about WGW this week. The reason for the excitement is because we are featuring a dress from our 2Be Bridal by Kathy Ireland trunk show! The trunk show is this up coming weekend, February 17th until February 26th. It has been a while since we have had a trunk show so we are excited to see all the new dresses.

This gown is a ruched trumpeted satin with beaded lace detail. The modest sweetheart neckline is flattering to different bust sizes. This ruching is asymmetrical so it is flattering to a brides bodice shape. The natural waist is accented by beaded lace detail. And the bodice has structured ruching to show off and define your silhouette. There is more beaded lace detail at the hem of the skirt to add some interest to the simple skirt.

Bella's Best: Caroline Castigliano

We are so excited to announce that Bella Rosa is now carrying Caroline Castigliano's bridal line. If you are not familiar with her designs it may because Caroline is a couture designer from England. This past season was the first time she decided to go state side with her line. We feel very honored and privileged to be carrying her line as she has only selected a few bridal salons across the United States to carry her line.

As we showed on Wednesday, Caroline Castigliano uses only the best construction and highest quality lace and silks in her dresses. When constructing her designs she really takes into considerations a woman's body and how to make the dress as flattering possible.

Since Caroline Castigliano is located in the UK the terminology they use is different then what we use in America. Things like: because we carry their gowns we are called stockists, where as our other designers call us retailers. We think stockists sounds a little nicer! Another difference is the way we have to measure. These gowns are europing sizes and require more measurement then the other gowns we carry. We are looking forward to all the new things we get to learn by carrying this new international designer.
